Observations, Ideas and a little common sense about the web industry…

A Class Act

November 19th, 2009

I know this is off topic, even for this blog, but I had to give a shout out to college football teams Maryland Gamecocks and South Carolina. In honor of Veteran’s Day last week, both wore camouflage uniforms and in place of their names on the back were words like “commitment”, “courage”, “duty”, “honor’, “service”, and “country”.
The uniforms are going to be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to The Wounded Warrior Project, which aids wounded service members.
This was a great way to honor and remember our veterans, as well as active duty military. I think we all owe it to our service members to find ways to thank them whenever we can. I have walked up to guys just to shake thier hand, and they always appreciate it. So if you happen across a person in uniform, or a veteran, just take a second to say thanks, I am sure it will mean a lot to them.
