I would hire a professional seo immediatly and not try to do it myself. You can do many things false and get a penalty from G**gle!

All good points, but all from different points of view. Every organization’s needs and in-house skill sets vary. So, depending on the level of knowledge and skill a group has in house, the decision should be evaluated.

For small to mid size companies (5 to 50 million in revenue) we have found it to be more effective to outsource SEO to gain the multiple skill sets it takes to be truly effective. Companies in that size range don’t typically have the budget to hire 3 or 4 different people to get the expertise of a copy writer, technical SEO, analytics pro etc.
